Another gray, chilly, windy day... I'm ready for spring! Days like these can be tough to find inspiration, and I notice that I tend to work with more muted colors. OTOH, it's nice to hunker down. I wound up power-walking through the local grocery store just to get energized.
The studio is kicking into high gear now. It's nice to do a huge stock-up of supplies, including moulding, mats, glass... and parchment. Currently I'm working on a couple of love-themed pieces. I have plans - both on paper and in my head - for a couple of unique small series (miniature works, of course). I'll have a highlight exhibit at the Red Raven Art Company later this year, details will be here on my website as it gets closer. Spring is also the season for miniature exhibits around the US, I'll have more details on that, as well.
Cold, windy days like these demand something hot and comforting... soup! Tomato soup and grilled cheese is always a classic, and here's my favorite recipe for homemade roasted tomato soup (it freezes beautifully).
You know who IS enjoying the cold weather? Ivar the Husky. I'll leave you with a pic of the 80 lb fluffball. Have a good weekend, stay warm, keep creating!
