I was one of several individuals taking part in a private calligraphic retreat in Indiana, studying Manipulated Italics, Polyrhythmic & Layered Lettering with Denis Brown, the world's foremost calligrapher.

This is merely a rough "finished" project, completed in a workshop atmosphere. It'll be used as a starting point for future works. Above piece consists of gouache applied with cola pen, gold leaf on layers of mylar.
